Switching Gears
Switch by AXA is the insurer’s digital brand established in 2013 to offer “good deals” to 18-29-year-olds.
That was then (2013):
Then, in 2016, AXA‘s Switch became the first insurance brand to adopt Facebook Messenger to interact with prospects. “Prospects and customers can ask AXA advisors any question they want: information on products and services, documents or certificates required, follow-up to claims or a previous request, and so on. They can resume the conversation with AXA at any time on Facebook Messenger (via a smartphone, tablet, or computer).” And that was a BIG deal.
This is now:
….the case of ‘looks can be deceiving’. Switch acts as a landing page of sorts, redirecting site visitors to other brands by AXA. For instance,…AXA Assistance.
Also, Switch‘s Facebook page is no longer available and its Twitter account redirects to My AXA. Look:
Yet, not all is lost. My AXA‘s Facebook page offers a chatbot to initiate the quoting or claims process.
Bottom Line: feels like AXA is phasing out Switch and not everyone is pleased.
