Swiss Re and Wysa introduce Wysa Assure

In 2021, Swiss Re announced an exclusive partnership with mental health platform Wysa to create a wellbeing app tailored to the insurance industry.

The companies are now introducing Wysa Assure, a mental health support app which integrates Swiss Re’s risk expertise and proprietary scoring system and Wysa’s AI-powered mental health solutions.

Wysa Assure features an “emotionally intelligent” chatbot that uses AI to react to emotions users express. Other notable features include stress-relief programs and therapeutic techniques, as well as exercises and a wellbeing score to help users stay focused on their mental and emotional health.

Through the incorporation of Swiss Re’s scoring mechanism, Wysa Assure users can monitor their mental health, while insurers benefit from a “comprehensive reporting suite equipped with data to enhance their portfolio management.”

The first insurer to test out the new solution is Australian insurer MLC Life, which will offer Wysa Assure to retail customers through Vivo, its health and wellness recovery program.
