Swiss Mobile First Player Knip Raises $15.7M

Insurance tech funding continues. Knip, the Swiss ‘mobile-first’ digital insurance broker, has closed a $15.7 million in Series B funding round led by US-based Route 66 Ventures. The Knip app allows user to view a snapshot of their insurance policies as well as spot coverage gaps. Bottom Line: 330,000 downloads in Germany and Switzerland. Competition? You bet. Think GetSafe from Rocket Internet, and Clark from FinLeap. The news comes days after Chicago-based insurance agency, Insureon, announced $31 million in funding.
