Suncorp’s Spirit to Cure raises $7.8 million for cancer research
Suncorp employees have raised more than $7.8 million for cancer research, prevention, and support through the Spirit to Cure program over the past five years, supporting five cancer research breakthroughs across Australia and New Zealand.
The annual, enterprise-wide initiative saw nearly 4,000 employees take part this year across 12 events, including running, walking, cycling, and swimming, with participation spanning Australia and New Zealand. Funds raised in Australia support Tour de Cure, while New Zealand contributions go to Leukemia & Blood Cancer NZ and the Cancer Research Trust.
Since its launch, Spirit to Cure has funded research, prevention, and support initiatives across 20 cancer types, alongside community programs providing education, accommodation, treatment support, and palliative care for patients and their families.
