Starwind launches high-net-worth builders risk program

CRC Group’s Starwind has launched Starwind Private Client, a new underwriting platform focused on high-net-worth individuals and families with complex residential property risks.

The platform debuts with Private Client Construction, a standalone owner-named builders risk product for custom home construction and renovations with completed values of up to $30 million. Backed by A.M. Best A-rated or better carrier paper at binding, the product provides all-risk coverage for structures under construction, existing property, building materials, and optional coverages, supported by catastrophe aggregation management, dynamic pricing technology, and loss prevention services.

According to Starwind, the program is designed for ground-up construction, major renovations, additions, repairs, rebuilds following homeowner losses, catastrophe-exposed properties, and other complex luxury residential projects that often fall outside standard underwriting appetite.

The platform also incorporates on-site risk management inspections during key construction phases, project-specific loss prevention protocols, and specialized property claims advocacy.

Starwind Specialty is one of North America’s largest program management operations and is part of CRC Group, which places more than $32 billion in annual premium across property & casualty and employee benefits.
