Refresher: the German insurance startup was established in 2015 to offer APIs to sell supplementary, niche and specialty insurance. Last year it launched a wholly-owned subsidiary called European Annex Insurance. Its most recent product is mobilOK that offers bundled device insurance for 15 Euro or 16.50 Euro a month for either basic protection or basic + theft protection. Coverage is underwritten by AmTrust Europe.

Bottom Line: a digital MGA that enables others to sell insurance online.
