NYC-based digital identity verification company Socure announced it has raised $13.9M in a Series B round, bringing its total funding to date to $31.9M. Investors include Commerce Ventures, Flint, and Two Sigma Ventures; to name three. The digital identity verification company leverages machine learning in fraud detection and prevention. In an interview with AlleyWatch, CEO Sunil Madhu said the company is targeting the global digital identity verification market; a sub segment of Security and Governance Risk & compliance total available markets that exceed $90 billion in size, and are aiming to serve businesses in 250 countries in Financial services, E-Commerce, Healthcare, Insurance, Telecom, Government, Education and IoT.
