Great American Insurance Group has recently collaborated with Richard Zizian to introduce ‘divorce insurance’ . More like unemployment insurance but let’s play along with the gimmicky name. The product covers child and spousal support when one collects unemployment. Also, premium vary by the type of industry one works in, as turnover must be accounted for in this type of policy (think: construction workers pay more in premium than those that work in health care). Folks will purchase this coverage while going through a divorce. There’s no deductible and the policy will pay for a period of 24 weeks. Oh, and disability claims are excluded. Look.
