Slice Labs Raises $4.8 Million

According to a recent SEC filing, Slice Labs has raised $4.8 million in financing from an undisclosed investor, bringing its total funding to date to $8.7M . Existing backers include XL Innovate and Munich Re.

 

Recall: the company was established in 2015 to offer products for the sharing economy. Late last year it introduced its homeshare coverage in private beta. Later, on May 2017, it officially launched the coverage, which is now available in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, IL, IA, LA, MD, MA, NC, NH, NJ, NY, NV, OH, TN, TX, SC, UT, VA, VT, WA, and Washington DC. That’s 24 states plus DC, in case you were counting. Also, its rideshare coverage is still in beta mode.
