Skuld restructures underwriting and regional operations
Marine insurer Skuld is reorganizing its executive team and regional operations, effective November 1, 2026, following growth across products and markets.
Chief financial officer Kristian Løberg will become chief underwriting officer, with Oda Bjerketvedt Norderud taking over as CFO.
Skuld is also establishing global leadership roles for its core products. Lars Dueled will lead protection and indemnity (P&I), Paul Fry will lead hull, and Christofer Kobro will lead energy. All three will report to Løberg.
The regional structure will comprise six business units reporting to the CUO:
- Nordics: Kristoffer Kohmann, covering Oslo, Bergen and Copenhagen.
- Europe: Lars Dueled on an interim basis, covering Oslo, Hamburg and Piraeus.
- UK & Americas: Paul Fry, covering London and New York.
- Singapore & Japan: Nick March, covering Singapore and Tokyo.
- Hong Kong: Patrick Wang.
- Energy: Christofer Kobro, with teams in Oslo, London and Singapore.
Wei Fan will succeed Wang as head of Hong Kong in September 2027. Wang will then become chairman of Skuld (Far East). Gregory Thomas will continue as chief business development officer.
Skuld said the changes will create larger business units with broader market responsibilities and improve coordination across regions and product lines.
“As we move toward Skuld’s 130th year in operation, Skuld has never been stronger, both in size and in product expansion, and it is vital that our organisation evolves alongside our further growth ambitions.” – President and CEO Ståle Hansen.
