Sixfold raises $15 million

Sixfold, an insurance startup building an AI solution for underwriters, has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Salesforce Ventures, with participation from Scale Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners and Crystal Venture Partners.

Led by Alex Schmelkin, who previously co-founded Unqork, Sixfold claims to be the first generative AI solution purpose-built for insurance underwriting. The startup works with insurers to help train AI underwriting models based on the company’s book of business.

Recently, Zurich announced the winners for its global startup program, which included Sixfold. Zurich North America plans to improve underwriting efficiency by leveraging Sixfold’s solution.
