Singapore-Based Blockchain Startup Bluzelle Raises $1.5M Seed

Singapore-based blockchain startup Bluzelle announced that it has raised $1.5 million in a Series A round, bringing its total funding to date to $1.8M . The three-year-old startup offers a decentralized, on-demand and scalable database service to financial institutions including banks, Forex firms, mobile wallets and mobile operators.

According to the company’s website, at some point Bluzelle worked with two insurers to power new products and allow for better claims management, lower costs and cheaper priced product. One use case includes a personal injury product, where Bluzelle developed a blockchain powered system for a global insurer that enabled consumers to purchase their policy and handle claims digitally, in real-time.

“We will be releasing more information soon, including new team members, partnerships and product releases” – CEO Pavel Bains. In the meantime you can get an overview of Bluzelle and the product roadmap from the Bluzelle-Primer. Recall 2017 insurance-related investments here.
