Sigo Seguros raises $10.5 million

Car insurance startup Sigo Seguros has raised $10.5 million in a Series A round led by Varco Capital and Listen, with participation from Angeles Ventures, Flintlock Capital, Zeal Capital, Rise of the Rest, and Fiat Ventures. Prior to this round the MGA disclosed $12 million in funding.

Founded in 2018, the Austin-based startup targets immigrants and working-class communities with a “Spanish-first approach.” Sigo Seguros currently offers coverage in Texas in partnership with Old American and it is looking to expand into Florida and California.

The startup claims to offer coverage to more than 60k people and in 2023, Old American reported $13.8 million in written premiums produced by Sigo Seguros.
