Let’s back up. Montreal-based Spaceful offered an on-demand storage service that allowed people with extra space to list their garage, spare rooms, basements, driveway, etc. for others to find storage and parking up to 60% cheaper than going the conventional routes. In addition, rentals came with insurance by Intact for up to $250,000 in property and liability. Now Spaceful operates less in the sharing economy industry and acts more as a self-storage solution with perks by offering secure storage and by taking care of all the lifting, driving, packing and itemizing on behalf of the customer. Finally, all Spaceful storage contracts are month-to-month with a required 3-month minimum commitment.

Bottom Line: It’s unclear whether Intact is still a partner.
