Second insurtech exit this month: Roojai acquires Lifepal

Roojai , an online agency from Thailand, has taken over Lifepal , an Indonesian digital insurance broker.

Lifepal, established in 2019, offers a platform for customers to evaluate and manage their insurance needs.

The acquisition was motivated by Lifepal’s search for an investor with substantial insurance expertise, a role Roojai  filled.

This move is set to enhance Roojai’s tech capabilities with Lifepal’s market reach in Indonesia. The financial terms of the deal have not been made public.

Bottom Line: This is the second insurtech acquisition this month, following Riskonnect’s acquisition of Ventiv Technology (formerly Aon eSolutions), a provider of risk, insurance and underwriting technology solutions.
