Safewill raises $2.2 million

Australian online will writing platform Safewill has raised ~$2.2 million (A$3M) in seed funding led by Reinventure Group.

Founded in 2019, Safewill claims that more than 10k wills have been created using its platform in the past 18 months. The cost to create a will is $160 AUD and users can make unlimited updates during the first year. Safewill also gives users the option to pay $15/yr for unlimited updates beyond the first year.

Aside from its D2C efforts, Safewill also features a B2B2C channel. The startup works with charities for the sake of encouraging donors to include one last donation in their wills. Charities present the option of leaving a gift in the will while giving donors to option to create a will with Safewill.

To date, Safewill has partnerships with more than 100 of Australia’s largest charities and associations.
