SafetyCulture rebrands as Mitti

Australian workplace operations platform SafetyCulture has rebranded as Mitti , marking what the Australian company calls the biggest transformation in its history.

Used by more than two million frontline workers across 80,000 organizations, the company is expanding beyond safety management to position Mitti as an all-in-one operations system spanning software, hardware, consumables and insurance. Its tools help businesses manage inspections, maintenance, training, quality issues and operational risks.

The platform’s new AI capabilities include site benchmarking, agents that monitor operations and handle routine tasks, an assistant that identifies patterns and recommends improvements, and a feature that turns photos, voice notes and prompts into issue reports.

Insurance is also becoming a bigger part of the story. Mitti claims that policyholders using its platform generate 19% lower claims costs and a 9% better loss ratio than those who don’t, based on its core insurance portfolio for the 2025 accident year. The company has written nearly $200 million in cumulative gross written premium in Australia and is licensed across 51 US states and jurisdictions.

The name carries some history. In 2020, SafetyCulture and QBE launched Mitti Insurance , a joint venture combining small business insurance with virtual risk assessments and workplace-safety tools. SafetyCulture acquired QBE’s stake in 2023 and later rebranded the business as SafetyCulture Care. Now, SafetyCulture has become Mitti, while SafetyCulture Care has returned to the Mitti Insurance name.

Bottom Line: Mitti Insurance just made a comeback.
