SafetyCulture raises $34 million
SafetyCulture, a startup offering a workplace safety technology platform, has raised $34 million in a round led Morpheus Ventures and Marbruck Investments, with participation from Index Ventures. The round gives the Australian startup a ~$2.7 billion valuation.
SafetyCulture’s app helps companies create checklists, conduct inspections, raise and resolve issues, and manage their assets. It also offers tools for checking in with remote workers and monitoring maintenance on physical assets. The startup claims that its app is used by 70k organizations.
In 2020, QBE Insurance Australia partnered with SafetyCulture to launch Mitti Insurance, a new venture that combined risk assessment and small business insurance coverage.
SafetyCulture ended up acquiring QBE’s stake in Mitti and it now has a partnership with Allianz, which provides commercial coverage through SafetyCulture Care.
