Ryanair launches new subscription product

Ryanair, the airline group that carried the most passengers in Europe in 2024, has launched Ryanair Prime, a new travel membership that includes free reserved seats, free travel insurance and access to 12 annual (1 each month) member-exclusive seat sales.

The new offering is limited to 250k members on a first come/first served basis. Members who fly 12 times per year can save up to 5 times the £79 Ryanair Prime subscription cost and members who fly 3 times per year will save £105.

The travel insurance will cover members and their Ryanair Prime companions in the event of flight cancellations caused by injury or illness (except Covid-19 and pre-existing medical issues) and various events such as medical emergencies, delayed departures and stolen baggage. In the EU, members over 70 years old will be excluded from some specific aspects of the insurance, such as the medical protection, but they will still be able to benefit from the other aspects of the insurance coverage.
