Ryan Specialty launches Clach Casualty

Ryan Specialty  has launched Clach Casualty Underwriting Managers, a new MGU within Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers focused on casualty coverage for complex construction and habitational real estate risks.

Formed in September 2025, Clach Casualty distributes exclusively through U.S. wholesale brokers and offers monoline primary and excess solutions, including general liability for New York contractors and owners, general liability-only wraps, and general liability for habitational real estate. The unit is led by Adam Schnell, who joined Ryan Specialty through its 2024 acquisition of Ethos Specialty’s MGUs. Clach Casualty is backed by highly rated capacity and aims to fill coverage gaps in high-risk segments.
