Russian HealthTech Doc+ Raises $5 Million

Russia’s largest funded digital health company, DOC+, announced it has raised $5 million in a Series B round bringing its total funding to date to $11.5M. The Moscow-based startup was established in 2015 and provides on-demand doctor visits and telemedicine consultations. Users can book a visit via the site, the company’s call center, or its mobile app. The closest doctor available will pick up the order and visit the patient at home. Services include: consultations, prescriptions, sick notes, medical tests, ECG, referrals to MRI, and other advanced diagnostics. Also, DOC+ is a fully functioning clinic with applicable medical licenses and staff. The company works with 300 medical providers and visits costs range from $21 to $53 per visit.

Vice versa, the prices for telemedicine consultations are $1.8 for the first chat, or video chat and $8.8 for a follow up. Bottom Line: the Russian version of Babylon Health minus the fancy AI component. Keyword: Minus. Recall 2017 insurance-related investments here.
