RoofMarketplace raises $1.1 million

Milwaukee-based RoofMarketplace , an online marketplace platform used by insurance carriers and contractors, announced its Seed Capital raise of $1.1 million. The round was led by Rock River Capital Partners, LLC, a venture capital firm located in Southern Wisconsin, specializing in making early-stage investments in Wisconsin-based companies, and Peter Gunder, Venture Partner at American Family Ventures.

Founded in 2011, RoofMarketplace’s platform connects homeowners, carriers and contractors during the roof claim process. Using aerial imagery, RoofMarketplace estimates the size of a job and enables roofers the ability to bid without ever visiting the property.
