Roamly names chief insurance officer

P2P marketplace for RV rental Outdoorsy announced that Aaron Ammar, a former co-founder of Y-Risk, will assume the role of Chief Insurance Officer at Roamly . Announced this year, Roamly looks to provide digital insurance products for recreational vehicle owners. The news follows Outdoorsy’s $120 million round of equity and debt financing that was announced in June.

In addition to hiring Ammar, Roamly recently went international through a commercial agreement with Aon; launching an insurance offering that makes RVs rent-ready in Outdoorsy’s second-largest rental market outside the US.

Policies provided by Roamly are underwritten by Spinnaker Insurance Company, Safeco Insurance, Foremost Insurance Company, National General Insurance, Allstate Insurance Company, Voyager Indemnity Insurance Company, or HIPPO Insurance Services.
