RLI shares Hawaiian wildfire loss estimates

RLI Insurance Company reported estimated pretax net catastrophe losses of $65 million to $75 million due to Hawaiian wildfires, impacting about 200 insured structures for primarily homeowners insurance.

These losses will be reflected in the third quarter of 2023.

The figures consider reinsurance recoverables and reinstatement premiums. The estimates are subject to change due to claim complexities and preliminary information.
