Revolut partners with AIG

Late last month, digital banking startup Revolut introduced a new car insurance offering for customers in Ireland.

Underwritten by AIG, the new offering was initially made available to a few thousand customers and the plan is to eventually give all Revolut users in the country, about 2 million, access to the coverage.

Coverage can be obtained through the Revolut app and there’s a telematics offering that’s available for customers with less than 6 claim-free years. Drivers that have held a license for less than one year are required to sign up for the telematics program, which includes a device that’s plugged into the car.
