Redrob raises $8.5 million

Redrob.io , an AI research startup with operations in the US, India, and South Korea, has closed an $8.5 million Series A round led by Korea Investment Partners, with participation from KB Investment and others, bringing its total funding to $16.5 million. The company has about 100 employees across San Francisco, New York, New Delhi, Mumbai, and Seoul.

Redrob builds enterprise AI tools aimed at delivering high performance at lower cost, positioning itself as an option for companies and users priced out of premium AI subscriptions. It reports 3 million users across 500 universities in India and $7 million in annual recurring revenue.

A core part of its model is offering free access to students in emerging markets, who later introduce the product inside their workplaces. The new capital will support U.S. enterprise expansion, global platform growth, and continued free access for students.
