Reali Wants to Enter Insurance

Real estate technology company Reali announced that it has expanded its series B financing by $9m, bringing the round to $29m and the company’s total funding to $39m. This latest round was led by Group 11 (f.k.a SGVC) with participation from existing investors Zeev Ventures and Signia Ventures.

Founded in 2015, the California-based company is a full-service brokerage connecting home buyers and sellers while charging a flat fee instead of the traditional agent commission.

This additional financing comes on the heels of a rapid growth year for Reali, where the company has more than tripled its transaction volume and has grown its headcount by nearly 40%. Further accelerating its full stack solution on top of new lending capabilities, Reali launched Reali Loans with the acquisition of online mortgage platform Lenda in April 2019. The company plans to introduce additional services such as home warranties and insurance.

“At Group 11, we are always on the lookout for financial technology companies that solve a real problem and bring innovation to massive sectors ripe for solutions. Reali’s solution and their incredible growth to date further demonstrate their team’s determination to streamline the unnecessarily complicated real estate process while saving consumers thousands of dollars in fees and commissions. Thus, we are truly excited to lead this financing round and look forward to joining Reali’s team efforts to grow the company into the market leader it is ought to become.” – Managing Partner at Group 11, Dovi Frances.

“Since its inception, Reali has focused on creating a seamless, innovative and superior customer experience during one of the most stressful moments in life – buying and selling a home, at a fraction of the cost. We’re thrilled with this ongoing investor support which allows us to continue our momentum while introducing additional services such as escrow and title, home warranties and insurance, to name a few.” – Cofounder and CEO of Reali, Amit Haller.

Bottom Line: Your next partner.
