San Fran-based Embroker announced that it has raised $12.2 million in a Series A funding round led by Canaan Partners; a figure slightly short of what Lemonade has raised. The company provides a data and predictive analytics software to help businesses purchase all types of commercial insurance. Worth Quoting: Embroker founder and CEO Matt Miller says “Confusion in insurance is deliberate” as it creates a dependency on the broker. Couldn’t agree more.
