QOMPLX to acquire Tyche and Sentar ahead of IPO
Virginia-based QOMPLX , a risk-analytics provider that helps companies protect against cyber-security threats, plans to acquire cyber-intelligence company Sentar and actuarial software company RPC Tyche .
The news is tied to the company’s plan to go public through a special purpose acquisition company, Tailwind Acquisition Corp., which started by mattress company Casper’s CEO Philip Krim. Part of this agreement is that QOMPLX acquires these two companies. The equity value of the deal is $1.4 billion.
Founded in 1990, Sentar is a cyber-intelligence company, applying analytics, operations and systems engineering expertise to protect national security. It has offices in Huntsville, Alabama; Charleston, South Carolina; Columbia, Maryland; and San Antonio, Texas.
Founded in 2015, Tyche’s core modeling solutions – soon to be coupled with the broader QOMPLX data analytics platform and tools – serve insurers, reinsurers, and risk intermediaries.
