QBE sets aside $50 million for insurtech investments

A week after Swiss insurance group Baloise announced it has committed $49.57 million to fintech-slash-insurtech VC and advisory firm Anthemis Group to invest in insurance startups, QBE is making a similar announcement. The Aussie insurer said it will be investing a minimum of $50 million in partnerships with insurtech companies from UK, US, Israel and Australia that have a particular focus in data analytics.
