QBE North America appoints Matt Westhoff as President of Commercial Insurance
QBE North America announced the appointment of Matt Westhoff as President of its Commercial Insurance business, effective November 11, 2024.
Westhoff will be responsible for leading the $1 billion-plus Commercial Insurance portfolio comprised of workers’ compensation and property programs, commercial construction, and specialty casualty lines. In this role, he will drive strong underwriting and financial performance with a focus on profitable growth, disciplined portfolio management, and strong trading partner and distribution relationships.

Westhoff joins QBE with deep expertise across large commercial and commercial property lines, and a wealth of experience building and scaling high-performing and profitable businesses with a keen focus on portfolio management, underwriting excellence, leadership, and client and distribution management.
He is based in New York and succeeds Mike Foley, who served as QBE North America’s President of Commercial Insurance since March 2022, and has transitioned to Chief Underwriting Officer for North America.
