PURE offers Ting fire prevention program to Ontario members
PURE Insurance is expanding its risk prevention efforts in Canada by offering Whisker Labs’ Ting fire prevention sensors at no cost to members in Ontario.
The plug-in Ting device detects hidden electrical hazards in a home’s wiring, appliances, and utility equipment, alerting homeowners and guiding them through repairs to help prevent electrical fires. The program also provides outage notifications and support for frozen pipe prevention.
PURE said the rollout makes it the first insurer in Canada to include Ting as part of a member risk management program. The initiative reflects the insurer’s prevention-focused model, which emphasizes reducing losses through proactive protection.
The Ting program is offered through a collaboration with Whisker Labs, and PURE indicated it plans to introduce additional loss prevention programs for Canadian members targeting other common sources of property damage.
“Offering Ting to our Canadian membership is another step toward helping families reduce risk and protect what matters most. Our model is built on responsibility—when families care for their homes and take proactive steps to prevent losses, everyone benefits.” – Chris Sevdalis, Head of PURE’s Canada Branch.
