Protective expands L&A distribution through Alfa agents

Protective Life has entered into a distribution relationship with Alfa Insurance , allowing Alfa agents to offer select life insurance and annuity products through Protective.

The agreement, which launched January 6, expands Alfa’s product lineup across Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi and gives its captive agent force access to additional life and retirement solutions. For Protective, the partnership extends its strategy of distributing life and annuity products through multiline property and casualty agencies.

Both companies are Alabama-founded and said the relationship is focused on supporting long-term financial security through local agents. Protective will provide training, sales support, and resources designed to help Alfa agents cross-sell life insurance and annuities within their existing books of business.

Alfa serves more than one million property and casualty policyholders and maintains a network of over 2,000 agents across the Southeast, while Protective offers life, annuity, and related protection products nationwide as a subsidiary of Dai-ichi Life Holdings.
