Protecht has rebranded as Teak . The new name reflects the company’s defining traits — dependable, hardworking, and built to last.

Founded in 2016, Teak has facilitated more than $1 billion in protected experiences through its platform. Its products — including Smart Refunds and Friendly Insurance — integrate directly into checkout flows, allowing businesses to offer consumers refundability and confidence while boosting ancillary revenue by up to 20%.

Teak partners with A.M. Best–rated insurance carriers to deliver these embedded solutions through a lightweight API. Beyond integration, it handles the complexity behind the scenes — from risk management and payouts to UX optimization and technical performance — letting partners focus on delivering exceptional experiences.

Fanshield, Teak’s licensed insurance subsidiary, will retain its name and align with the new brand identity.
