Polly expands online buying option

Based on information obtained by Coverager, Polly is now offering car shoppers the option to buy auto insurance online in up to 25 states without having to speak to an agent.

The carriers making their products available online include Progressive, Travelers, and Safeco.

This move can improve Polly’s bottom line as it will save some money on agent commission, however, removing the agent can negatively impact sales.

In other Polly news, the company recently announced a partnership with automotive software provider Tekion. As part of the partnership, dealers using Tekion’s SaaS platform will be able to access Polly’s insurance quotes.
