PokitDok to Expand into Prescription Business

CA-based healthcare API platform PokitDok announced that it has acquired Oration PBC for an undisclosed sum. CA-based Oration, was established in 2014, and operates a cloud-based platform that provides prescription saving services for people and companies throughout the US. Its platform manages the prescription transactions, as well as provides employees with the price on their prescription. The company’s platform also engages in analyzing prescription claims from companies and provides solutions that allow companies and employees to save on their prescription spend. It has raised $12.2 million from GV and Andreessen Horowitz, to name two, since its inception. The news closely follows PokitDok’s recent $5 million funding round from GIS Strategic Ventures, the VC arm of Guardian, which brought its total funding to date to $55.3 million.
