Palette embeds fine-art transit insurance

Fine-art logistics platform Palette has partnered with Marsh  to let users obtain insurance estimates and arrange specialist transit coverage directly through its platform.

The insurance program is led by AXA XL  and integrates coverage into the same workflow customers use to request shipping estimates, select logistics providers and manage shipments. Palette serves galleries, auction houses, collectors and specialist art shippers.

The platform centralizes shipping requests, estimates, communications and documents such as condition reports, customs paperwork, bills of lading and invoices. Users can also access services including shipment tracking and reusable crating.

Palette said the insurance integration eliminates the need for separate communications and processes when arranging coverage for artwork in transit.
