Pacific Life expands to Charlotte, North Carolina
Pacific Life is opening a new office in Charlotte, North Carolina, where it plans to create 300 jobs over the next five years.
The California-based life insurer signed an 11-year lease for 68,000 square feet at the Queensbridge Collective in Charlotte’s central business district, with occupancy expected in 2028. Until then, the company will operate from a 25,000-square-foot temporary space nearby, scheduled to open in early 2026.
“Attracting and developing leading talent is central to Pacific Life’s growth strategy. Charlotte is home to a thriving workforce, and we look forward to welcoming new talent to the Pacific Life team to help drive our long-term success. This expansion effort was a true partnership between many in North Carolina, and we want to thank Governor Stein, the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina for all their efforts and support in the decision-making process.” – Darryl Button, President and CEO, Pacific Life.
“Pacific Life’s success is driven by its people. We invest in our employees and strive to foster a work environment that is challenging, inclusive, collaborative and results oriented. Charlotte is a region that is recognized for its talented workforce, particularly within the financial services industry, so our presence here was a thoughtful and strategic decision. We are excited to offer new opportunities from early career to leadership roles, within the actuarial, finance, technology and human resources disciplines. Our interim location will be available in early 2026 as we prepare for our move to the new, exciting office at Queensbridge Collective in 2028.” – Laura Cushing, executive vice president and chief people experience officer, Pacific Life.
