Oscar Partners with Humana to expand Oscar for Business to Nashville

NY-based member focused, tech-driven health startup Oscar announced it has partnered with health insurer Humana to bring Oscar for Business to the city of Nashville, Tennessee. This partnership with Humana gives Oscar for Business a platform to reach more peeps and is a match made in heaven – “We also share a focus when it comes to keeping members healthy – Humana is a pioneer in finding innovative solutions to help its members manage complex chronic conditions and coordinate care across providers” – Oscar CEO and cofounder Mario Schlosser. Bottom Line: Oscar and Humana will share risk evenly in this partnership, and starting this fall, pending regulatory approval, Nashville employers with anywhere from 2-50 employees will be able to provide Oscar for Business for their employees. And yet, not everyone will be impressed.
