On drones

A San Francisco-based startup called DroneDeploy has raised $20 million in Series B funding to grow their drone data management platform, bringing its total funding to-date to $31 million. DroneDeploy’s technology is already used in 130 countries and allows users to plan flights, pilot drones either one at a time or in fleet formations, and gather and analyze data to create detailed maps, to name a few. Bottom Line: can be used by insurers to conduct roof inspections.
