Ominimo raises $22.5 million

Hungarian car insurance startup Ominimo announced a $22.5 million Series B funding round that values the company at $1.6 billion.

Founded in 2024, the startup claims that it is approaching one million customers across four European markets. Ominimo partners with Signal Iduna in Hungary and DA Direkt, Zurich’s German unit, in Poland, the Netherlands and Sweden. Zurich has invested in the startup last year.

Ominimo will use the funding to expand across Europe, launch new lines of business, and enter the US market in 2027.
