OdysseyRe names Philip Klecan chief agent of Canadian branch

OdysseyRe  has appointed Philip Klecan as chief agent of its Canadian branch, effective March 27.

Based in Toronto, Klecan will lead broker and client engagement across the Canadian market. He joined the company in 2024 as chief underwriting officer for Canada and previously led Hanover Re’s property and casualty treaty portfolio.

He succeeds Jean-Raymond Kingsley, who is retiring after 15 years with the company.

Klecan will report to executive vice president Joseph Guardo.
