NEXT hires new chief financial officer
Teodora Gouneva, a seasoned IPO executive, has been named Chief Financial Officer of Next Insurance . Gouneva has over 20 years of experience working in finance at digital businesses, like PayPal and Airbnb, where she supported their IPOs.
This move raises the issue of whether Next is planning to go public soon.
“I’m very excited to join the dedicated team at NEXT who truly cares about helping unlock the potential of entrepreneurs and small businesses everywhere, and I’m looking forward to building on the company’s achievements in 2022 and beyond,” Gouneva said. “I am passionate about how technology and innovation can improve and advance age-old industries that people rely on everyday. NEXT’s mission to transform small business insurance for the good of their customers aligns incredibly well with my interests and expertise.” – Teodora Gouneva.
The announcement comes after the company’s mobile app was released earlier this month.
Nowadays, Next serves “over 300K small businesses,” up from “300k business owners” as reported in October and the bottom line is that Next is slowly closing the gap with competitor Hiscox, which serves over 500K small businesses. Keyword: Slowly.
