New Zealand Small Business Insurance Startup is a Sleepy Teddy

Meet Teddy:

According to its Facebook page, Teddy, established in 2017 in New Zealand, is a platform for business owners to shop, buy and manage all their commercial insurance online through an easy process.

And yet its site has been down for a few days now.

By ‘a few days’, I mean at least seven days.

Here’s what else is known. The startup, currently in beta, plans to work with Sovereign, Delta, Fidelity Life Assurance, Asteron Life, and Ando.

Also, it is the creation of Gopalakrishnan Sekaripuram Anantharaman and Calum MacLeod, which established the company under the name of Insurely Global Limited on Jan. 10 2017. Same Calum MacLeod that is now busy building Vallum, “a fast moving, technically fluent, customer centric InsurTech company, dedicated to improving the sale and service of business Insurance through digital distribution.”

Bottom Line: when one idea led to another?
