Neptune Flood surpasses 200,000 policies
Neptune Flood , the largest private flood insurer in the US, has reached a milestone of 200,000 policies and $250 million in premiums. Starting in 2018 with a single residential flood insurance product in Florida, Neptune has since expanded to 49 states and Washington, D.C., offering residential, commercial, and condominium flood insurance.
In 2021, Neptune added parametric earthquake insurance to its offerings by acquiring Jumpstart Insurance Solutions. In 2024, it formed Neptune Data Science after acquiring Charles River Data, focusing on machine learning to improve the sale of flood and earthquake insurance.
Neptune’s growth is supported by a network of over 15,000 agency partners. The company has paid over $150 million in claims, especially following events like Hurricane Ian (2022), and collaborates with 25 insurance and reinsurance partners. Key areas for Neptune include Florida, with the highest number of policies, and South Carolina, with the most policies per capita.
