Nationwide partners with Arlo
Nationwide is partnering with Arlo, a NY-based MGU specializing in level-funded health plans for the small to mid-sized group market.
As part of the partnership, Arlo will serve as a managing general underwriter for Nationwide’s medical stop loss insurance product.
Founded in 2022, Arlo Health is backed by Upfront Ventures, 8VC, and General Catalyst.
“We are excited to partner with Arlo, who is innovating with highly advanced capabilities to provide a seamless, easy experience for our customers. In the past, most small groups did not have access to stop loss coverage due to operational complexity and expense concerns. New MGU relationships like these allow us to reach more producers, particularly those serving small to mid-sized employers that are increasingly self-funding and needing medical stop loss insurance.” – Syed Rizvi, vice president and chief specialty officer at Nationwide.
“Through the use of our innovative technology, we are able to help more small employers offer affordable healthcare coverage to their employees, and we’re excited to see that taken to the next level through this partnership with Nationwide.” – Jan-Felix Schneider, Arlo co-founder and CEO.
