Nationwide launches drone insurance for farms
Nationwide has introduced new insurance coverage options for agricultural drones.
The new offering combines property, liability, and aerial application coverage for drones used in activities such as crop monitoring, mapping, aerial imaging, spraying, and seeding.
Coverage includes protection for physical damage to drones and related equipment, liability for damage or injury arising from precision agriculture activities, and coverage for losses resulting from the aerial application of chemicals and seed.
“The use of drones across agriculture has grown significantly, increasing the need for protection that addresses both the value of the equipment and the risks tied to operating it. We’re proud to begin offering these new coverage options, which help give farmers confidence to incorporate drone technology into their operations while knowing they have protection in place if something goes wrong.” – Justin Owens, AVP of Farm Underwriting & Sales, Nationwide.
