Nationwide launches ClearAccess tool for self-funded employers

Nationwide is introducing ClearAccess, a healthcare navigation tool designed to help employers manage costs and improve the member experience within its Self-Funded Program. Nationwide’s Self-Funded Program targets employers with 2 to 500 employees, offering an alternative to fully insured plans.

The platform, powered by ClearHealth Strategies, Goodbill, and BillingNav, allows employees to search symptoms, find providers, and view expected costs before receiving care. It also includes provider booking, automatic discount screening, cost transparency tools, and support for navigating health plans.

“This solution provides our customers with cutting-edge member navigation to help them effectively search for care options and eliminate unexpected costs. Navigating a health plan and the healthcare system can be confusing. Packaging the ClearAccess tool with Nationwide’s Self-Funded Program means members are getting a clearer, more affordable care experience.” – Casey Lanto, head of Nationwide Group Benefits Product and Operations.

“Employers are told to choose between lower costs and a good member experience. We don’t think that’s true. When you help members find high-quality but affordable care, costs come down for everyone. Partnering with Nationwide lets us bring that to employers through a brand they already trust.” – Patrick Haig, co-founder and CEO of Goodbill.
