N26 starts strong, finishes weak

Modern banking app N26, which raised $40 million this year, is facing criticism. An IT expert that goes by the name of Vincent Haupert successfully managed to hack the app and view customer data. But that’s not all; he also plans to give a lecture at the end of the month at the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) (think: Europe’s largest association of hackers) to talk about the security gaps he encountered. N26 in response: “Vulnerabilities are now closed”. Reassuring.
