Mutual of Omaha’s downtown HQ rises steadily toward fall 2026 completion

Mutual of Omaha’s future headquarters continues to rise in downtown Omaha, with construction on track for a Fall 2026 completion. The most visible sign of progress is the self-climber, the yellow structure facilitating the concrete core, which has now reached the 32nd floor—approximately 425 feet high. The east side of the self-climber is being dismantled as the remaining height of that portion will be built in steel, while the west side will continue using the system to pour concrete.

glass installation is now underway at Mutual of Omaha's downtown headquarters

The concrete podium, which forms the wide base of the tower and houses the parking garage and other core functions, was topped out in early March. With the podium complete, the project has moved into the steel construction phase, which will progress more quickly and further define the building’s shape. The first glass panels have been installed on the east side, and as the curtainwall continues to go up, the structure will begin to resemble the renderings released at the project’s start.

“These are all huge and very visible milestones for the project as it charges toward reaching its ultimate height by the end of the year. We are excited for the city to see what will soon begin to look like a modern skyscraper.” – Stephen Harris, Executive Vice President, Development, for Lanoha Real Estate Company, the developer of the project.
